Reasons for leakage of plate heat exchanger:

①The clamping size is not in place, the size is uneven everywhere (the size deviation should not be greater than 3 mm) or the clamping bolt is loose. This is easy to cause seepage in the plate heat exchanger, because the liquid inside is easy to flow out when the size is uneven or the clamping is loose.

② Part of the heat exchanger gasket is out of the sealing groove, there is dirt on the main sealing surface of the heat exchanger gasket, the gasket is damaged or the gasket is aging.

③ The heat exchanger plates are deformed and the assembly misalignment causes the running pad, that is, the rubber pad runs out of the plate slot.

④ There are cracks in the sealing groove of the heat exchanger plate or the second sealing area.

Treatment method for external leakage of plate heat exchanger:

①In the non-pressure state, re-clamp the equipment according to the clamping size provided by the plate heat exchanger manufacturer. The size should be uniform, and the deviation of the compacted size should not exceed ±0.1N (mm) (N is the total number of plates), The parallelism between the two compression plates should be kept within 2 mm.

② Make a mark on the leakage part, then disassemble the plate heat exchanger and investigate and solve it one by one, and reassemble or replace the heat exchanger gasket and heat exchanger plate.

③ Disassemble the heat exchanger, repair the deformed parts of the heat exchanger plate or replace the heat exchanger plate. When there is no spare part of the heat exchanger plate, the heat exchanger plate at the deformed part can be temporarily removed and reassembled for use.

④ When reassembling the disassembled heat exchanger plates, clean the plate surface to prevent dirt from adhering to the sealing surface of the heat exchanger gasket.
